Disneyland… the very first Disney park. A place where Walt Disney was able to see his love of trains come to life. (The Lilly Belle car of the train is really breath-taking.) This is the home of Aurora’s (also known as Sleeping Beauty) Castle. Furthermore, this is the very place that set the trend and standard for a lot of theme parks around the world. As for me, this is the place where my dreams came true, and I created new ones. *Cue Rapunzel and Flynn Rider*
This is one of my favorite Disney movies…Period! I love the emphasis on having a dream.
Disneyland and a Dream
At this point, it’s my hope that you are wondering what I mean by my dreams coming true. My answer is that I mean a lot of things. I mean that: (1) It was a joy to treat my mother and niece to a vacation of a lifetime, (2) this is my second Disney park visit, and (3) I was able to see Disneyland in person. I’ve only ever seen Disneyland in pictures, vlogs, and on television. There was no doubt in my mind that I had to see it in person.
Just like Walt, I am an unrealistic dreamer. The people around Walt did not always understand his vision. (Just as the people around me don’t always understand mine.) However, they still had enough faith in him (and me) to go with it (i.e. Roy Disney and my Mommie). Walt was able to make his wildest dreams come true. Despite people not wanting to invest in a dream, he was still determined to persist through hardships and make his dreams come true. I realize that I have easily attainable dreams, and dreams that needs a little extra faith, trust, and Pixie Dust. (I couldn’t help it.)
One of the things that I emphasize to my students is to dream big. (Similar Post: Disney-Obsessed Teacher) Reach for the stars. Make your wildest dreams come true. Live up to your true potential, and define what your level of success is. Be the first generation to go to college (and complete it). Become the best lawyer out there, then become a Judge. Surround yourself with people who believe in your vision. Own businesses, become a superstar, do what makes you happy. However, none of these things can happy without hard-work and dedication. As big of a dreamer that I am, I realize the significance of hard work.

Disneyland and My New Dream!
Now that I have explained how Disneyland made my dreams come true, I am able to pursue a new dream. My dream is, by 2025, to have visited every single Disney park around the world (at least once). Can I make it happen? You’re darn right I can! There’s no reason for me NOT to make my dream a reality. This is where my mother comes in…
My mom had to help me understand the significance of treating myself. I work hard, I budget (when necessary), and I dream with no limitation. There are no children that I have waiting at home for me. There’s no husband waiting at home for me. I am not committed to many things, nor do I shoulder the burden of having a lot of responsibilities. However, I tend to feel guilty when I treat myself to some extravagant things.
She (my mom) has had to help me understand that this is why I work for a living, instead of committing to do nothing. I work to be able to live comfortably and treat myself to some of the things that I love. One of those things is traveling, and I am committing to do more of it.
What Does This Have to do With Anuthing?
Well… I am no longer going to talk myself out of pursuing my dreams. I am not going to guilt myself out of buying the newest Mickey plush, or Dumbo mug, or pens for my students to enjoy. My dreams are going to happen, and I will work hard to make them happy. I would love for my blog to grow and to make passive income, but I have to develop consistency.
ALL OF THIS TO SAY, I will be celebrating my upcoming twenty-fifth birthday at Disneyland Paris. The magic of Disney and the reality check from my mother have inspired me. I will visit every park by 2025, and I will feel proud when I look back (years from now), and I talk about how Disney helped me to make all of my dreams come true.
What’s Your Dream? Have you began planning for it?
Let me know down in the comments below. There’s also two videos of our Disney California Adventure below. Also, I would love for you to share the love by sharing this post. Until next time!

Looks like you all had a wonderful time. So much to do!
We had an amazing time. I look forward to going back soon.
I also want to visit every Disney Park globally! I have never been to Disneyland but I have gone on multiple Disney cruises and I have been to Disney World several times. My family loves the Disney Cruise and we are planning a 7 day cruise this year!
I am absolutely terrified of going on a cruise, but I have definitely been thinking heavily about going on a Disney cruise. I would love to go to Disney’s private island. Maybe I will have to overcome my fear and get on it. It’s nice to meet someone with the same vision 🙂
I love the photo of you with the balloon, so nice!! I love Disney in general!
Thank you so much! You can hardly go wrong with Disney 🙂
It’s so wonderful that you were able to share this trip with your family! I’ve been to Disney World, but not Disneyland. I hope to go soon!
It’s amazing. I loved them both equally.
I literally love Tangled for the same reason, I want to tattoo “Dream” on wrist
I love that. I’ve been saying that I will get a Disney tattoo, but it’s hard to pick and choose what I want.
This is such an incredible goal! I can’t wait to watch you achieve it!!
Thanks so much!
Disney will always be my happiest place on earth. I grew up in Florida so we made annual trips to Disney. We then lived in Cali so Disneyland was a must for us. And now we live in England so disney Paris is on our list for sure. We’re so excited. Disneyworld is still my favorite
Disney World is pretty amazing. I’m trying to go back in March or towards the end of the year. I’m excited about it. I can’t wait to go to Disneyland Paris in July.
That would be so cool to visit all of the Disney parks. I’ve only been to Orlando. Disney Paris sounds so cool!
It does, and I am so excited to go. I’m trying not to psych myself out with excitement.
I love Disneyland too and I’m planning on taking my kids there really soon. Good Luck with your goal of visiting all the Disney them parks in the world.
Thanks so much, and have a wonderful time on your trip.
So much fun to be had there! My husband and I took our boys several years ago. Looks like you had a wonderful time there! Great memories for life:)
Disney Paris is my DREAM! I would love to be able to fly to Disneyland as well, but we have annual passes to Walt Disney World. We are going today actually! Woo woo!
Sounds like a wonderful time! Enjoy! 🙂
I have been to Disney twice when I was a lot younger with my parents. I have yet to be able to afford to go and take my kiddos – but it is definitely on my list!
I definitely understand. I plan and budget nearly a year in advance to be able to go. Granted, I don’t have a family to provide for, but I’m sure that when the time is right, you will make it happen, and it will be worth it 🙂
I love how your mom helped inspire you to pursue your dreams of travel. Especially while you have the time and the freedom to do so! It’s so easy to forget to make time for treating yourself or pursuing dreams like that in adult life. We have to prioritize them!
I must agree, and this year, it is my intention to focus on self-care.
We used to live in LA and took our son to Disneyland all the time! I miss it so much now that we’ve moved away 😒 How fun that you get to go to Paris for your bday!
