As I celebrate one year of being a blogger, I reflect on all of the lessons that I’ve learned. I’ve learned that blogging is not as quick and easy as everyone thinks. It takes hard work, perseverance, and dedication to run a blog. A post about all of these lessons will come soon. This post is not about me. It is to shine a spotlight on some of the blogs that have most inspired me. These #GirlBosses have made it their mission to reach people like myself. Check out and catch some of this GirlBoss Inspiration from my favorite blogs/bloggers.

GirlBoss Originator – GirlBoss.com
Sophia Amoruso’s #GirlBoss book really inspired me to pursue blogging. I had been wanting to do it for a long time but lacked the courage. Reading her story made me want to change things, and get to work. Our passion for fashion and hard work connects us. Plus, let’s be honest, she’s a real badass. So when I was digging more into Nasty Gal (a brand that I was a fan of before reading the book), I came across her GirlBoss.com blog. It was just what the doctor ordered. It offers posts about finances, beauty and fashion, health, and careers. The blog outlines what it means to be a #GirlBoss.
GirlBoss Millennial – The Confused Millennial
The Confused Millennial immediately captured me from the title alone. It sums up the place that I’m at right now. Right now… I am a confused millennial, navigating through a new career, post-grad life, and gearing up for a graduate education. TCM deals with things from life, career, and education. I look forward to the newsletters because there is always something that applies to me. Plus, I am an avid reader. I could survive reading for a career honestly… In a sense, I guess I do as an educator (teacher). TCM has recommended some wonderful books for me to check out. While it may take quite some time for me to get through all of them, it is my goal to check out most of the recommendations. TCM is for you if you are a millennial experiencing life in the real world.
GirlBoss Life Expert – Lauren Conrad
Lauren Conrad makes me want to be this dainty, fancy, lady. (Not to say that I am not.) She has captured me with her Ladylike Laws, crafts, party inspiration, and incomparable fashion sense. LaurenConrad.com has never failed me and has become a site that I am dependent on. I often check her site for advice and inspiration. If I were to ever meet Lauren in person, I would thank her for sharing some of her knowledge with the world. I would thank her for inspiring me to become a better blogger, but more importantly, a better woman who is more ladylike. (I’ve always been dainty and girly, but I have become more conscious of my etiquette.) Plus, let’s be honest, this is one of the cutest sites that I’ve ever seen.
GirlBoss Blog & Career Expert – Career Girl Daily
Where do I even begin with Career Girl Daily? I get a double dose of their posts. I am subscribed to their newsletters AND I get post updates through Bloglovin’. Why? I simply to want to ensure that I don’t miss an important post. Which… let’s face it… most of their posts are important to me. I first came across this site because of their Blogging book and their SPECTACULAR career advice. I would definitely recommend this site/blog to any and every woman. They offer career, blogging, fashion, beauty, and life advice that has proven to be BEYOND helpful.
GirlBoss Blogger Support – Style Collective (Affiliate Link)
Last, and far from the least, is a site/blog/sisterhood that I’m honored to be a part of. Style Collective connects bloggers and influencers together and forms a sisterhood. I was skeptical about joining at first, and as I approach being a member for a year, it is one of the best decisions that I could have made. It has helped me find confidence in my vision and goals for my blog. It has allowed me to connect with other women who are like-minded and driven. I would recommend bloggers and influencers to join.
The amount of knowledge, resources, and networking that comes from this membership is invaluable. Recently, I upgraded my membership, and hope to continue doing so. I will be a lifetime member of Style Collective because I believe in their vision so much. It aligns with my vision, and it pushes me to learn more and perfect my craft. I guarantee… you get more than your money’s worth within the first month of membership.

Absolutely. It reminds me that I do not have all of the answers, and that’s okay.
I have always had an appreciation of Lauren Conrad going all the way back to Laguna Beach. She seems like such an easy down-to-earth person and I really look up to her!

Thank you so much! I hope that I can continue to help/inspire in any way that I can.
The girlboss who speaks to me is Lilly Singh or Super Woman on YouTube. I feel like she is very motivating and has a campaign called #GirlLove all about empowering each other.
I’ve heard that name before. I will definitely check her out. Thanks for the suggestion!
You’re definitely right, blogging is not as easy and quick as people make it seem. I am really fond of xonecole.com, her story and website encouraged me to start my own blogging journey. I have pinned this post and will definitely be checking out the girl bosses you mentioned.
I will definitely check her and her site out. Thanks for the suggestion!
I have come across Lauren Conrad’s quote multiple times and it always seems to bring immediate happiness. Getting that inspiration of other women kicking butt in the entrepreneurial world motives me.
Definitely! There’s nothing better than women empowering and uplifting other women.
Thank you so much for sharing this information. I recently started blogging in February, so I am new to all this. I wanted to blog last year but didn’t have the courage to do so. One day at 11pm at night I wrote my first blog and the rest is history. I’m excited to see all the changes that will happen over the year. Thanks for recommending these amazing women to follow along with yourself.
Well, congratulations on your blog! There will be a lot of changes because you will figure out what direction you want to go and make it happen. Best of luck! The least that I could do was help inspire others with what inspires me. 🙂
OH my goodness! I loved this post! Its like you opened a whole new world up to explore! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
This is so inspiring #goals
I would love to see this message delivered to younger girls
Thank you so much! I would love to reach young girls. I teach them, so I try to spread the message that way, but it takes everyone pulling together to get the younger generation to see.
I’ve only been blogging 3 months, can’t wait to see where I’ll be in a year. Congrats on getting this far, your blog is beautiful and I love that you shared blogs/boss girls that inspire you and could inspire others. I will be following
